He was looking around the house, trying to find something with which to snap a picture of his two Kits napping.
It wasn't so much the napping he wanted, but how they were doing it.
Rarely did Kasey and Jaede wind up in the same place at the same time for long enough to curl around each other, so the sight of the black and white curling with the grey-blue... Well, he had to find a camera for that.

He dried them all off and settled them in their spot in the kitchen, as he made some warm food for himself, and then settled a dish with food for them in front of them.

It was when there was water falling on his back from the newly started rain, that he got up, scooped the two up, and scooted back inside. That was some coooold rain.

Ruben was sitting outside, attempting to enjoy the sunlight where he could, but was more enjoying the fact that his Kits were curled up on either side of him, napping.

"Hey you," Ruben grinned, "I might have found a blanket as shiny as you." He held up a blanket that almost looked like one side was foil, and laughed, "No really, it's meant to be a heating blanket of some kind." He laughed some more as he scooped the Kit up and petted him.

Ruben was eating his lunch when he noticed that Jaede was stalking something. He'd have gotten up to investigate, but... he was eating. He learned to regret it a few minutes later when the Kit pounced on his foot. There'd apparently been a dust bunny on his foot, and Jaede had found it irresistable.

It had turned into a game all right. Ruben would sneak up on Jaede and pat his tail, and try to get his hand out of the way fast enough to keep the Kit from pouncing. They were both getting faster at it too, even if Ruben still lost more often than he won.

"Well, look at you, all shiney and fluffy," and yes, Ruben was ruffling Jaede's fur as he said that, knowing it would make the Kit a bit grumpy, but finding the humor, for now, worth it.
